Mrs. Cynthia Dogbe was born on July 20, 1971 in Accra, Ghana. Though her education was delayed, she had her elementary and middle school education in Tema, Ghana, and completed High School at Salem Secondary School in Accra in 1993. She further proceeded to get training in Early Childhood Development, which she completed in 1996. Wanting to develop her skills further, she also trained as a beautician (hair dresser) and worked for a few years in her own beauty salon.
Cynthia has worked for three years at New Life Basic School, Achimota as a Pre-K Teacher for two years and at Mount Zion School, Nima for 11 years as a Bursar. With her background in Early Childhood Development, Cynthia volunteered at Roseville Elementary School, Roseville, MN for over a year as a Kindergarten Educator.
A good Christian woman who loves to work for the Lord and for Zion, Cynthia was consecrated a Deaconess in 2002 and has continued to serve the Church and support the husband’s ministry in every good way. Whilst at Tema, she was a member of the Choir and very zealous in the Youth Ministry Department. In Accra at Bishop Speaks, she has worked as a Superintendent of Sunday School; a teacher of the New Members Class; Conference Worker; Home Mission Worker; assistant Coordinator of YAMS, and a Local Y’s Secretary. At the district level, she served as Accra Central District Y’s Secretary; District President for Ministers Spouses and Widows Fellowship and District director of Home Mission Workers. At the Aggrey Memorial A. M. E. Zion Church, Mamprobi, where she has worked with the husband for the past four years, Cynthia has continued to be very active with the Missionary department and she is a member of the Spiritual Life Committee.
Cynthia is married to Bishop Hilliard Dogbe and are the proud parents of Emile Delali (16) and Ellis Delasi (11).
