Life Membership Challenge: Upgrade One Reach One PDF Print
CLC Life Membership Goal – 1000 New Life Members by July 2013.

We are looking forward to upgrading present members and new members to Life membership status. It’s time to spread the word: Let’s get moving to the next level “Life Membership” in the Connectional Lay Council. Give more, expect more, and get more as a life member in the Connectional Lay Council. Invest in your organization, special blessings and privileges are coming your way in appreciation for you going the distance to bless the ministry of the Connectional Lay Council through life membership. There will be Special Life Member Events at each of our Connectional meetings (Evangelistic Retreat – LM Reception, Lay Convocation – LM Luncheon, and General Lay Convention – LM Breakfast) created just for you.

Join the “Upgrade one Reach one” Life Membership Campaign. I challenge all life members to identify and inspire at least one person to become a Life member of the Connectional Lay Council, and we will exceed our goal. Together we can make a difference. The Life Membership Ministry supports the clergy enrolled at Hood Theological Seminary and we will be doing some extra mile support projects. Special Note: On all occasions where Life Members wear the stoles, please sit together. The stole should be worn over black suits (no pant suits) or black dress, and remember that the life membership pin is to be worn on the left side of the stole, above the CLC logo.

Life Membership Stole Price Increase

The price of the Life Membership stole will increase to $50 on January 1, 2010. All Life Members are asked to embrace the $10 increase in the price of the stole. Through the purchasing of the Life Member stole, you will be supporting and funding ministerial education (clergy attending Hood Theological Seminary) through the ministry of the Bishop George J. Leake III Scholarship Fund. The positive purpose in this increase could affect any one of Zion’s congregations; by helping to fund the education of men and women who will fill our pulpits to rightly divide the word of truth to the laity. The scholarship is designed to perpetuate the visionary legacy of Bishop Leake by offering financial assistance to A.M.E. Zion clergy enrolled at Hood Theological Seminary. The stole will now serve as a powerful educational tool along with its beauty and representation of pride and excellence to the Connectional Lay Council.

Please visit www.clcamezion.org for additional information including forms and Connectional Lay Council Merchandise.
